SENIOR LADY: FOOD OF LOVE: VALENTINE'S DAY, #2






The meals I listed in, Senior Lady: 

Food of Love: Valentine's Day, 

are easy to prepare. Most of

the ingredients aren't expensive.

The T-bone steak will be costly.

However, it'll cost much less than

 a steak dinner at a restaurant.

Here are the recipes for some 

of the entees and desserts

for "Man Food."


RANCH CHEESY POTATOES 

NEED: 

(2) Cans Sliced Potatoes,

(Drained, well)

Small Onion, 

 (thinly sliced)

3-4 oz bag, Real Bacon Pieces,

1/2 Cup Ranch Dressing, 

1 Cup Mild Cheddar Cheese, 

(Shredded)

1-2 Tablespoons Dried Chives,

(For Garnish)

Preheat oven 400 temp.

In large bowl, mix

potatoes, onions, ranch

dressing, & bacon pieces.

Place the ingredients in

greased 9x9 pan/dish.

Bake 25-30 minutes.

Sprinkle cheese on

potatoes. Broil 2-3

minutes. Garnish with

chives.

TIPS: 

** DON'T OVER BAKE THE

POTATOES TO AVOID GREASY TASTE.

** DON'T USE SHARP CHEESE TO AVOID 

GREASY TASTE.

** PARSLEY OR PAPRIKA OK 

FOR GARNSH


SAUSAGE LASAGNA 


NEED: Small Batch

6 Cooked Lasagna Noodles

1/2 Mild Bulk Italian Sausage 

Small Bell pepper, chopped

Small onion, chopped 

24 oz Pasta Sauce 

8 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese 

(Reserve 1/2 Cup for topping)


Preheat oven 375 temp. In skillet,

 cook sausage,onions, & peppers.

 Drain well.  Stir in pasta sauce. 

Grease 9x9 pan/dish. Cut each noodle

in half for 9 noodles. Layers:

Place 3 noodles side by side,

in pan. Spread sauce evenly over 

noodles. Top with cheese. Then

repeat process until 3 layers

lasagna in pan/dish. Cover with 

foil. After 30 minutes, uncover 

& top with cheese. Bake 10 minutes 

or until lasagna bubbly & cheese is 

light  brown.


EASY MAC & CHEESE


1/2 BOX MACARONI 

(8 oz, cooked, drained) 

3 Tablespoons Butter

3 Tablespoons  Flour,

( All Purpose)

1 Cup Medium Sharp Cheddar

( Shredded or Cubed)

2 Cups Whole Milk


In skillet melt butter, on

medium heat. Sprinkle in 

flour while whisking until 

smooth. Slowly whisk in milk.

Remove from heat after sauce

comes to boil &  has thickened.

Add cheese & whisk until the

cheese sauce is smooth. Place

Mac and Cheese in buttered 

8 inch casserole dish. Garnish

with Paprika. Let stand 5 minutes 

before serving.


TIPS:

**USE YOUR FAVE CHEESE,

REMEMBER EXTRA SHARP 

CAN CHANGE TEXTURE.

** CAN BAKE & TOP WITH  

EXTRA CHEESE.

** ADD MORE MILK IF NECESSARY 

FOR EXTRA CREAMY SAUCE.
