SENIOR LADY: CHEAP PLANTS THAT GROW FAST!

Image
CALIBRACHOA I have a few annual plants that I must have  in  my flower garden.  They are Dusty Miller,  Red Begonia, and Coleus.  I could only find  Dusty Miller in 5 inch cups  this year.  I have  learned to be  careful when buying the Dusty  Miller plants. I must pay attention to the tag in the pot.   Their  silvery fuzzy leaves resemble  Lamb's  Ear.  Last year I bought the Lambs Ear  by mistake.  The Lambs Ear plant has some medicinal properties. Some herbalist  grow it  in their herbal gardens.  I love the  Begonia  and Coleus plants because  they come in colorful varieties. I buy  three varieties of  each plant to add to  my container garden.  These three  types of plants grow as perennials  in very warm climates. A lady in the garden center showed me two of her favorite plants. She said they were hardy and cheap. Both of these ...

SENIOR LADY: PENDANT & CHOKER PROJECT!

Image
CHOKER PENDANT INSPIRED BY: EARRINGS I was doing my weekly visit to the Pinterest  website when I saw this cute image of cats on a pair of earrings. It looked like a simple hand drawing of five colorful cats.  I liked  these  earrings very much. However, I prefer  dogs  rather than cats. I was inspired to see if  I  could make similar earrings. My earrings would have hand drawn images of five colorful dogs  on them. I gathered the materials for  this project.  I realized that I would need to draw, color, and cut out images  of ten dogs! I don't like crafts that require with several  steps. They flare up my arthritic hands. I decided to draw four dogs. I'll add them to a teardrop pendant charm  on a  choker cord. SENIOR LADY: TOO MANY EARRINGS HOLDER!

Image
I love large earrings and include them  in my  jewelry collection. I have hoop  earrings in  several colors. I was able  to find an online    site that sold Retro  70's, 2-3 inch hoop   earrings in  different colors. I was   so happy  to have a 12 count set of the  hoops shipped    to   me last year.   There are large   teardrop earrings   made from in wood, gold,   and silver  also in my  jewelry   box.  Searching  through  my  jewelry  box for the  earrings to  match my  outfits became  a daily   hassle.  I searched online for a  solution  for displaying my earrings. There we're not many jewelry   displays  that hung  on the  wall.  I watched  several craft  videos  and finally found an answer to my problem. A few ladies used dollar store picture frames to  d...
