SENIOR LADY: JUNETEENTH DECOR!

Image
The Juneteenth Celebration is about freedom and liberation.   President Lincoln's Proclamation  on 1/1/1863   allowed slaves to be set free from slavery . Black History Month   honors this and  is celebrated  in the   month of February. However, Texas officially ended slavery on  6\19\1865.  Now this event is also celebrated and is called, Juneteenth. Celebrations for this holiday is on June 19th annually.  I recently began to include Juneteenth decor in my craft projects. I created my 2025 wreath from paper.   I could not recycle my wreath  because it was damaged.  I just discovered this mishap, so I needed a new Juneteenth decoration. SENIOR LADY: HEADBAND WIG GLAM!

I have been a wig wearer for many years.  I didn't care for my grey hair. I preferred wigs in shades of Burgundy and Brown. My problem was  that wig wearing in the summer made me hot. I was looking  at wigs online when I saw  several headband wigs .  The attached  hair was various lengths and colors. A lot of the attached headbands were colors I didn't have in my wardrobe. I also checked out headbands wigs at the wigs stores. Most of the wigs' caps were made with mesh, lace, or had waffle weave design . They didn't seem to have bulky hair sewed on the wig caps.    Wigs like this might  keep me from getting too hot. I did  purchase a headband with a black headband. The idea of wearing a plain black headband with all of my outfits seemed boring. Here are the details for my  Headband Wig Project : ITEMS NEEDED: Headband wig with black band Wig  T Pins, 2 inch Multicolored Rhinestone/ Gem Stickers : 3-4 mm,  Self-Adhesi...

Some of the clothes were barely used because some wealthy people changed their  wardrobe e very year.
