SENIOR LADY: JULY 4 DOUBLE WREATH PROJECTS!
A friend of mine taught me that Thrift Stores have great
finds. She taught me a few tricks on how to find brand
name designer clothes. Some of the clothes were barely
used because some wealthy people changed their
wardrobe every year. A lot of these clothes are
donated to Thrift Stores. Some Thrift Stores receive
new designer clothes that are Close Outs or Over
Stocks. These clothes are put in special area of the
store called, "The Boutique". They also receive new
brand named household products, jewelry, and craft
supplies. Last Christmas, I found a large basket full
mini Christmas ornaments and crafts supplies.
Therefore, I saved a lot of money that day. I had
received two mini Christmas trees for a gift and
had no ornaments. Now I visit two Thrift Stores
near me every two weeks. Last week I found two
brand new wire wreath forms and other craft
supplies. These were great finds since I have
three wreath display areas on my porch.
Here are the details for my wreath project:
NEED:
(2) 8 Inch wire wreath forms
2-3 Red Flower Stems
2-3 White Rose Stems
2-3 Blue Flower Stems
Royal Blue Vinyl Table Cover, Rectangular
TOOLS:
Scissors
Glue Gun with Glue Sticks
Remove table cover from package. Unfold a portion of the table cover. Use scissors to cut (16 ) 2 1\2 inch x 13 inch strips. Need 8 strips to wrap each wreath.
Wrap one wreath with the strips and secure ends with dot of glue. Repeat the process for 2 nd wreath.
Glue the bow in the middle of each wreath. Then
separate red, white, & blue flowers. I put each color in separate pile. The exact number needed depends on size of your flower heads. I used 8 flowers heads on each wreath. Lay flowers on wreath to reach the design wanted. Use dot of glue to secure flowers in place.
If use too much hot glue it'll melt cover.
Wreath hangers can be added to these double wreaths
so they can be hung up side by side. Another option is
to place a wreath on the front, side, or back door. These
nice looking wreaths are great to use for all Patriotic
Holidays.
