SENIOR LADY: CUTE ANGEL.PROJECT!

I was in the mood to do angel crafts. I needed

to find a new method for creating my angels.

Angels made from wood cut outs and from lace

paper doilies were  among my Christmas projects

a few years ago. I researched online for ideas.

The last source I checked was videos.  I saw a

fascinating video which showed a lady making

a toilet paper dress for her angel.  I was skeptical

about this using craft. I thought toilet paper would

be too fragile and tear easily when handled. I did

watch the entire video. I was impressed and decided

to try this craft.  I forgot to save the video and tried

to do my own version for creating this angel. It looked

fine with the purple accessories.  However, I needed

exact measurements if I wanted to feature this craft

on my blog. After reviewing several videos, I found

the right video tutorial.  I saved the angel craft this

time. I used this video for inspiration. Here are the

details for my version of toilet paper angels:

TOILET PAPER ANGEL PROJECT:
ANGEL # 2

NOTE: Link to inspirational tutorial located
below. Please review for clarification of
instructions.

NEED:

2 Toilet Paper Rolls
Roll of Toilet Paper
Spool, Green Satin Ribbon, 1\8 inch wide
Small Green Gem Stickers

TOOLS:

Ruler
Scissors
Glue Gun with Glue Sticks
Wood skewer or Pencil

INSTRUCTIONS:

Tear off ( 5 ) 8 inch sheets of toilet paper.

Fold the sheets in accordion style. Tie top portion
of bundled toilet paper with the ribbon ( Leave
1\4 inch border at the top). Need long tails of
ribbon at end to tie bow in front.

Gently fluff out ends of toilet paper to form a dress.
Separate each layer to make dress look fluffy.

Lay one of the toilet paper rolls down ( horizontal ).
Cut it in half. Cut 5 rings, 1\3 inches wide.

Cut open each ring. Use tip of pencil  to curl the
end of one of the rings. Curl end very tightly as
you continue to roll the ring into a circle. Glue
the end.

Open second ring and glue one end to the circle.
Wrap the entire ring around the circle to make
it larger. Repeat the process until all four rings
are wrapped around the circle. This finished
circle will be used for the head. Let circle dry completely.

Use scissors to trim the top portion of the
dress ( above the bow) even, so it looks flat.

Glue to circle head onto the flat area, seam
side down.  Press the circle head down and
make sure it is in the center of the dress.

The green gems can be attached to the top of the
head. Use dot of hot glue under each gem. The gem
stickers  can come loose and fall off. These gems will match the green bow on the front of the dress.

Press second toilet paper roll flat. Crease the
edges of the roll with end of the scissors. Cut
6 rings, 1\3 inches wide. Cut 2 rings, 2 inches
wide; 2 rings 1 3\4 inches wide; 2 rings, 1 1\3
inches wide. These rings will be used for the
wings.

Glue one set of wings on each side of the angel,
near the side of the head. Press down so
it sits firmly.

Make hanger: Cut 7 inch piece of ribbon.
it in half and tie ends into a knot. Attach hanger
to back center area of the angel. Globs of glue
may be required to make knot on hanger secure.
