SENIOR LADY: CHRISTMAS CRAFT PROJECTS! #8
I usually try to combine traditional and religious
Christmas crafts in my Christmas decorations
every year. I spend most of the month of October
browsing online Christmas catalogs, social media,
and videos looking for Christmas project ideas.
I had began looking at religious items when I saw
drawings of Nativity scenes mounted on music
sheets. The music sheets had lyrics to religious
Christmas songs. I searched on my Mom's
book shelf looking for old hymn books. There
were none among her books. She suddenly
recalled that she had loaned her hymn book
to friend. I wondered if my collection of Bible
Word Search puzzle books had puzzles about
The Birth Of Jesus. I found two puzzle pages that might suffice. One puzzle was about Mother
Mary and the other was about Choir of Angels.
Here are my project details:
NEED:
Nativity Scene Drawing or
Nativity Coloring Page.
Music Sheet of Christmas Song
or Christmas Bible Puzzle Page
Back for Wall Hanging or Table
Tools:
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
INSTRUCTIONS:
I drew Nativity Scene free hand on white paper
(after viewing online drawings). I cut out the
Nativity scene. I taped scene onto puzzle sheet.
I made copy of scene & puzzle sheet on my
Injet copier. Now the Nativity scene & the
puzzle page were combined on one sheet.
The beige puzzle paper didn't blend with the
white cut out scene. The Puzzle sheet with
the Nativity scene was mounted on the picture
frame. I decided to mount two more Nativity
scene pictures on cardboard & black & white
scrapbook paper I had on hand.
I'm glad I used the Bible Puzzle pages. They looked
as good as the Christmas music sheets. This turned
out to be a great alternative if hymn book not on
hand.
TIPS:
** Make copy of hymn book sheets
on copier if you dislike damaging
hymn books.
** The Nativity with Hymn Page can be
mounted on cardboard, wood, or heavy
weight poster boards. Add hanger on back.
** Nativity scene can be colored & matched
with colored heavy weight paper.
