AH, RELAXING DAY AT THE BEACH
I try to avoid
excessive stress and it is easier
to do
since I am retired. I could sit around
and
worry about my adult children,my
other family
members, our troubled
world, and on and on!
I exhale and pray a lot.I pray about things that
I
am concerned about and leave it to Jesus to
take care of.
Music is a great
stress reliever. I discovered from
my
college psychology class that listening
to music. The study showed that classical music had the most
impact on students. The recall of their study material was improved. I found out that listening to music throughout the day helped me cope
with my stress.
My “ go to” music is gospel music and classical music by tenor
Andrea Bocelli,I saw him on the Oprah Show
several years ago. His voice was so beautiful that
I bought his CD, Sacred Arias, the next day.
He has recorded
hundreds of songs but this CD is
still my favorite. Please listen to my favorite song on YouTube:

I discovered the art
of journaling on the website, Pinterest. I already
had several unused
leather
bound note books.I love to spend time journaling
on
Sunday afternoons.It is very relaxing.Sometimes
I draw cute symbols that reflect my
thoughts.I also
write short poems or inspirational quotes. I attach
Inspiring news or
magazine articles on my pages.
journaling my thoughts
about the articles are helpful too. The possibilities
are endless. Checkout the link below about choosing the

I started reading my Bible an hour before going
to bed. This seems to relax me and I don't suffer
from insomnia.I have a list of inspirational scripture
to read when I'm going through a crisis. Here are
the scriptures:
2. Psalm 27:13-14: "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
3. Isaiah 41:10: "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand"
4. John 16:33: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world"
5. Romans 8:28: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
6. Romans 8:37-39: "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
7. Romans 15:13: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
8. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
9. Philippians 4:6: "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done"
10. Hebrews 13:5: "I will never leave you nor forsake you"
Laughter is good for the soul. I
watch Mr Bean Show on YouTube when I need a good laugh. I discovered him on PBS TV years
ago. I do not get PBS with my channel package any more, so thank God for other media sources.
Here is one of Mr Bean TV Shows:
My husband loved aquariums
and he purchased a
75 gallon fish tank. I enjoyed sitting and watching
the fish after
I put the kids to bed. The kids are grown now and we no longer have the
aquarium.
I switched to Betta
fish. They are cheaper and low
maintenance. I just put them in
pretty glass bowls and add colorful glass rocks.
I even found a Betta bowl that I can hang on the wall in my den.
