SENIOR. LADY: RELIGIOUS CHRISTMAS CRAFTS!

DOVE PEACE ORNAMENT:



I love making crafts for each holiday season.
The Christmas holiday is my favorite. Making
 crafts depicting  Christmas trees, stockings,
bells, wreaths, and snowmen are included in
 some of my Christmas DIY projects. However,
 I also include religious Christmas crafts items
 too. Christmas gifts to my family and friends 
are a DIY gift and a store bought gift.

Attending the "After Christmas" sales is done
annually. These Christmas items will be used
for next year's  Christmas crafts projects. The
shopping list is long. I'm replacing the Christmas decorations and gift wrapping items too.

My religious Christmas crafts require more
time and research. I sit for hours looking 
at online Christmas catalogs and videos.
I need ideas for a craft that is different
from the previous year.  I start shopping 
at Dollar Stores and Big Box Stores early
so I can find all of the items needed for 
my project. 

This year I'm making a craft the depicts a 
rainbow, olive leaf, and a dove. I hope it
 brings feelings of peace and love!


ITEMS NEEDED:

Package Colored Wooden Craft Sticks
Package Unfinished Wood Craft Sticks
Faux White Dove Ornament 
Olive Leaf Stem
White Foam Sheet
White Ribbon, for Hanger










INSTRUCTIONS:

Remove sticks: purple, blue, green, yellow,
orange, & red. Remove one plain stick. Glue colored sticks side by side. These sticks will
 be used as a rainbow. Glue unfinished stick
 on back of colored sticks, near bottom. Cut
 out 4 1/2 inch cloud from foam sheet ( I used 
foam in a snowman kit to make my cloud). 
Glue cloud on front of rainbow. Glue the 
dove in center of rainbow, just above the 
cloud. Cut olive leaf from the stem & glue
it in center of rainbow, just behind the
dove. Make sure top portion of the olive
leaf is visible. Cut a piece of ribbon, 
7  inches. Fold it in half and glue ends
together. Glue ribbon hanger on back
 of the rainbow ornament, placing it
in the center area.











TIPS:

** I already had faux Easter Olive Leaf Bush.
Faux Olive Leaf Stems are available online
or @ some Dollar Stores.

** I cut a foam snowman in half when making
my cloud. Free online cloud template available.
Print it, cut it out, & use it to cut out cloud from
your foam sheet.

** I looked @ rainbows online when selecting 
colored sticks for my rainbow.

** Any white ribbon ok for the hanger.
The florist section of my local store had 
cross embellished white ribbon.

Ah, the Sixties, when the ponytail was a style that all of us wore often.The ponytail has been updated and revamped many times. THE JEAN SCENE 4 WOMEN!

I love wearing jeans. They are  more enjoyable when they fit well. They flatter your figure. I am very envious when I see  a classy senior lady looking good in her denim outfit. I  have seen that crisp white  shirt, flattering jeans and a nice pair of boots. I was inspired to put more effort  into my attire after I saw a jeans show on Rachel Ray show.  Her guest explained that you have to find the correct jeans for your  body type.  I know they make  skinny jeans to fit every woman, but I must pass on this style. SENIOR WOMEN, LOOKING GOOD JULY 4TH

I chose these shoes to get your attention. I  couldn't wear  heels this high, young or old!  I choose my July 4th outfit carefully. I do not want to look like a walking flag!!  Several years ago I used to buy matching patriotic t-shirts for my husband and I. I must tell you that July 4th was only time he would agree to looking like the Bobbsey Twins. He had a few rules for me. We could wear matching  t-shirts as long as they weren't girly or pink.
