SENIOR LADY: AMAZING MOTHER'S DAY FLOWERS!
My Mom and I were discussing what to give
each other for Mother's Day. She hates
it, if we give each other money. My Mom
thinks were are exchanging money. She
thinks that I am giving her the same money
that she gave me! She's ninety years old and
I can't convince her this is untrue!
Recently, Mom began wearing turban caps
when we go to run errands. She could only
find them in navy and black. I was able
to find these turbans in several colors.
I purchased a package of 10 colored
turbans. This is going to be one of her
Mother's Day gifts. I will not be accused
of exchanging money this time!
My Mom offered me money so I could buy
my own Mother's Day gift. I agreed with
this. I told her I wanted to buy me a bouquet
of some type of purple flowers. The big box
store didn't have floral arrangements. I didn't
like the planters of Hydrangeas, Cala Lilies,
Daisies, and Orchids on display.
I had to stop at the grocery store. I was surprised
to see a large display of floral arrangements near
the produce department. They had large teacups
filled with succulents. Planters with Roses, Daisy
and Lily mixed bouquets, and Mini Pussy Willow
Trees were available too. I was impressed with
the display but didn't see any purple flowers.
I spotted a display of flowers on a carousel in
a corner, near the bakery. Eureka! There was
one bouquet of purple flowers there. They were
very pretty. I had never seen this type of flowers
before. I bought them anyway. I was able to examine
the flowers better when I got home. The label on the
wrapper said the name, Campanula.
I had to research this flower online. These bell
shaped flowers are perennials. They are available
in purple, pink, white, lavender, and blue. The flowers
featured online were in the ground. I wondered if my
Campanula cut flowers could be propagated. I did find
a video which confirmed that this is possible. I'm going
to experiment with a few of the flowers. I will be so
thrilled if I am successful in propagating these very
beautiful flowers.
