SENIOR LADY: REPURPOSE CHRISTMAS!
I used to discard my Christmas wrapping paper
tissue paper, and bows. I would have my boys
fill up garbage bags with Christmas trimmings.
I was happy when all the signs of Christmas was
cleared away until the next year.
After I started doing crafts, I had to purchase
several items for projects. It wasn't long before
I realized that I needed to keep certain items
on hand. Purchasing the craft supplies were
becoming expensive. I started paying attention
to sales at the craft stores and clipping coupons.
I also felt remorse for not saving some of my
Christmas decorations and gift wrapping items.
I suddenly realized how much money I could
have saved if I had repurposed "Christmas Stuff!"
Now I save all red, white, pink, and purple colored
items to use for Valentine's Day and other holidays.
MY CHRISTMAS REPURPOSE IDEAS:
** SHRED WRINKLED TISSUE PAPER. USE IT AS
STUFFING 4 GIFT BAGS ( used paper shredder)
** NEVER RIP OFF GIFT WRAPPING PAPER FROM
GIFTS. CAREFULLY REMOVE GIFT TAGS, TAPE &
RIBBONS. FOLD THE PAPER UP AND RECYCLE IT.
STORE TAGS, BOWS, & RIBBONS IN ZIPLOCK
STORAGE BAGS. USE RECYCLED RIBBON TO DISGUISE
THE IMPERFECTIONS ( FOLDS\ CREASES) ON
RECYCLED GIFT WRAPPING PAPER. I ALSO USE
GIFT WRAPPING PAPER WITH INTERESTING
PRINTS, DRAWINGS, & GRAPHICS AS PICTURES.
I CUT THE PAPER TO FIT PICTURE FRAMES OR WOOD
PLAQUES. IT MAKES WONDERFUL PICTURES FOR MY
LIVING ROOM OR FAMILY ROOM:
Recycled gift wrap can also be used to decoupage
plain glasses, cups, jars, and note\memo paper
