SENIOR LADY: PURPLE EASTER TREE!

I usually visit a Dollar Store weekly. My local

store adds new merchandise every Monday.

I wait until Tuesday to visit this store. By

this time the aisles are free if clutter. The

new items are on display at the front of the

store.  The Easter display featured boxes of

mini pastel trees. The trees is were in colors,

pink, purple, and yellow, according to picture

on the boxes. I quickly grabbed a purple tree. 

I searched for mini ornaments. There were

only multicolored mini egg ornaments in

stock. Shades of purple ribbon was available.

There were no mini tree skirts in stock.  Earlier

in the year, fabric swatches were available. 

The store had shades of purple in bundles. 

These swatches would make pretty mini

tree skirts. They had removed their fabric

to make room for Easter Decor.

Mini Easter lights were available but, I didn't 

buy them. I decided that lights and ornaments

 on this mini tree would be too dramatic. I did

plan to use  a decorated mini tree as a feature

among my Easter decorations.


PURPLE EASTER TREE


NEED:

**Easter Tree, Lavender/Purple 

11 inches x 11 inches x 18 inches

**(2) Foam Egg Ornaments, 12 Piece

Multicolored, 1.5 inches

**Lavender Purple, Gingham Ribbon

5/8 inches x 108 inches, 9 feet

**Purple Luncheon Napkins, 

6.5 inches x 6.5 inches


INSTRUCTIONS:

Remove unassembled tree from box. Assemble

per instructions on box. Fluff out branches.








Remove mini eggs from package and place on

tree in desired style.

Make a mini  bow using ribbon: 

Bow 3 inches with (2) 5 inch tails






 

I used a luncheon napkin to form
a mini tree skirt.











TIPS;

**The instructions can be used on 

any colored mini tree.

**Any shade of purple 5/8 in ribbon 

can be used for mini bow. Made mini

fancy bow:  4 loops with 4 tails.

** Any shade of purple fabric swatch/

scrap best for mini tree skirt. 

**Mini glitter, speckled, or striped

foam egg ornaments can also be used.

Ah, the Sixties, when the ponytail was a style that all of us wore often.The ponytail has been updated and revamped many times. One thing for sure this style will always be around.  It is versatile and can used to look classy for evening out or casual on a "Bad Hair Day".   The question for the senior lady is when style of ponytail is appropriate.  We do not want to look like a young girl or a teenager. I have seen older women that wear ponytails on every occasion. I would hate to see a senior lady at a funeral or a black tie affair with a messy ponytail held by a rubber band! SENIOR LADY: BUDGET GARDENER!

  LIGHT BLUE DOLLAR STORE BUCKETS:  STICK FIRE CACTUS PLANTS My husband grew up in the country.  I had no idea that he would want a garden when we moved into our new home.  I  thought living in the city would make him abandon his desire for farming activities.
