SENIOR LADY: JULY 4TH FLORAL CRAFTS! #3
years. I probably own about fifty scarves. These
scarves are various sizes, colors, and textures.
Some scarves are cotton bandanas, long silky
shawls and sheer for head wrap. I had pulled
all the scarves out so I could organize them.
My plan was to group the 15 bandanas, 15
silky shawls, and 20 pull on head wraps.
I found a very long red, white, and blue
Infinity scarf. I forgot I had it and it had
never been worn. I was happy I found
this scarf because I could use it for
Here are details for Patriotic Scarf Project:
Need:
52 inch Patriotic Infinity Scarf
5 inch Patriotic Table Top
Centerpiece with Silver Base
Red Cardinal Ornament, 2 Count
7 inch White Planter
INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove tags from center piece & scarf. Remove
Cardinals from card. Stuff the planter with the
recycled grocery bags or crumbled newspaper
until planter is almost full.
Make the scarf into a circle & fit it snuggly into
the top of the planter. Need to leave a whole in
the center of the scarf. The table top Centerpiece
will go in the center. Place one Cardinal on each
side of the Centerpiece. The Centerpiece & two
Cardinals may have to be glued down in order
to make them stable. The Planter is ready to go
on your table top.

than less than a hour. Once the supplies were
gathered together and prepped, the craft was
easy to assemble.
Most of the Patriotic Centerpieces were gone
at my local Dollar Store. I would have bought
a couple to use next year. The crafters in my
area really buy a lot of Holiday decor.
TIPS:
** Craft grass can be used in the planter.
I thought the Patriotic scarf base added
a whimsical touch to the planter. No
soil was used since this decor will be
kept indoors.
** I buy extra Cardinals when they
are available at Christmas. Any red,
blue or white birds can be used.
**Patriotic ribbon or bow can
tied around the planter for added
touch.
