SENIOR LADY: CHRISTMAS PROJECT #2
drawer. I have purchased packs of Primary colors,
Pastel colors, Holiday colors for Easter, Valentine's
Day, St. Patrick's Day, Veteran's Day, and Christmas.
Now glitter pipe cleaners are available, which I also
have purchased. They are great to have on hand
since they can be used in most crafts.
I will be working on Christmas projects from October
to December. I searched online for ideas and saw
several interesting crafts for pipe cleaners. Many
can be done by adults and children. Here are details
for one of my Christmas crafts using pipe cleaners:
CHRISTMAS PIPE CLEANER ORNAMENTS:
NEED:
1-Red Pipe Cleaner Stem, Glittery, 12 inch
1-Green Pipe Cleaner Stem, Glittery, 12 inch
2- Grey\ Silver Pipe Cleaner Stem, Glittery, 12 inch
Christmas Colored Gems, Spool:
3\4 in x 108 in, 9 feet
Metallic Silver Ribbon, 1\8 inch
TOOLS:
Scissors
Glue Gun with Glue Sticks
Ruler
Cut pipe cleaners in half ( Yield: 2 cut stems each color)
Place cut red, silver, and green pipe cleaner stems on
a table, side by side. Use piece of silver pipe cleaner
to secure the red, silver, and green stems together.
Wrap it around center several times tightly. Cut off
excess. Spread the stems out and curl the ends in a
tiny circle. Glue a green gem on the top of the tiny
circle on end of red stem. Glue red gem on top of tiny
circle on green stem. Bend stems in swirl pattern.
Make hanger: Cut 12 inches of ribbon. Fold in
half & make knot on the end. Glue hanger to
back center area of ornament. Now ornament
ready to hang on Christmas tree.
These ornaments can be made in several sizes.
Don't cut stems in half if desire very big ornaments.
They look pretty on trees and on gift bags.
TIPS:
** Ornaments can be one Christmas color with
matching gems or beads.
** Ornaments still looks pretty if using plain
stems with no glitter.
