SENIOR LADY: CHRISTMAS PROJECTS!

I decided to get an earlier start on creating my Christmas projects this year. I try to come up
different Christmas Crafts annually. My friends
and family visit in November so they can buy
some my Christmas creations. Last year my
best sellers.

I recently browsed a few online sites and videos.
I was inspired by some of the Christmas water
bottle creations. I have been saving water bottles
this year. I didn't have craft ideas on how to use
them.  There were some Christmas Bells featured.
They were pretty and didn't seem too complicated
to create. I rummaged through my craft bags and
discovered that I already had most of items that
was  needed for  the Christmas Bell. Here are the
details for my project:

CHRISTMAS BELL PROJECT:

NEED:

Size: 33.8 oz
2 Red Pipe Cleaners, 12 inches
2 Green Pipe Cleaners, 12 inches
3-Silver Pipe Cleaner, 12 inches

Multiple Gem Colors:
3\4 inches x 108 inches, 9 feet

Green/White/Red Plaid:
5\8 inch x 144 inches, 4 yards

TOOLS ( not shown):

Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Scissors
Ruler

NOTE: READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING
PROJECT.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Remove label off water bottle. Use scissors
to cut water bottle in half. Using top section
of  bottle with the cap for this project (save
bottom  half of bottle for another craft). Cut
2 pieces of plaid ribbon 6 inches long. Use
scissors to cut a scallop design on the bottom
of the bottle. Glue one plaid piece ribbon on
left and right sides of the bottle, under bottle
cap. Make sure ribbon extends vertical under
bottle cap to bottom of bottle.

Wrap green pipe cleaner around edge of scallop
design. Make second row (on top of green ) using
red pipe cleaner. I used 1 1\2 pipe cleaner for each
 row.

Cut red and green gems from spool. Glue red &
green gems in center of each scallop design.

Remove bottle cap. Insert one  end of silver pipe
cleaner through notch on top of silver bell. Adjust
length of pipe cleaner so bell hangs in center of the bottle. Glue this end to top of the bell. Glue other end of pipe cleaner securely inside of bottle cap. Make sure bell  in  middle of bottle.

NOTE: ONLY HAD MINI BELLS ON HAND. MADE
DIY BELL USING PIECES OF NEWSPAPER & SILVER
PIPE CLEANER. DECIDED HOLE IN BOTTLE CAP
UNNECESSARY.

Make 5 inch bow using extra plaid ribbon. Remove
one poinsettia & 2 pieces of greenery from the pick. Replace cap on bottle. Glue greenery on back of poinsettia. Glue poinsettia & greenery so front of
bottle cap isn't visible. This is front of bell. Make
sure ribbons visible on sides &  bell dangle in the
center. Add bow under the poinsettia. Use silver
pipe cleaner to make 6 inch hanger for  bell.

This project has several steps, but it's not complicated
to make.  I was inspired by  water bottle bells videos
on social media site. The images under the instructions
should clarify steps needed to create this Water Bottle Christmas Bell. I'm pondering making mini bells for my Christmas Tablescape.

TIPS:

** Other sizes of water bottles can be used
if desired for larger or smaller bells.

** Strips of ribbon on side of bell optional.
Can use tiny red or green beads & gems.

**  Any color of ribbon ok. Suggest using
matching embellishments.

**  Scallop design optional; however, exposed
cut ends on plastic bottles  can cause injury.
Ribbons, cords,  &  jute  can also cover end
of bottle.

** Christmas picks with greenery, mini pine cones, birds, & berries can are options.
